Promote and practice safe work habits while performing basic repairs and services on light, heavy duty, and diesel trucks; road construction and maintenance equipment; hydraulic systems; and electrical components.
How you will contribute- Diagnose and Repair:
Diagnose, repair and complete basic tasks on a variety of equipment types such as tires, brakes, lighting, pumps and valves. Use basic scan tools to read and clear check engine light codes. - Maintain Documents and Records:
Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate documents and work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry in appropriate systems. - Perform Manual Labor:
Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate documents and work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry in appropriate systems. - Preventative Maintenance:
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

- Ability to read and comprehend and apply information from service and equipment manuals.
- Ability to record and maintain data in computer systems.
- Knowledge of general shop procedures.
- Skill in performing light vehicle services and repairs.

- Valid driver's license.
- A combination of training, experience, or education in Engineering, or related field desired.
- Ability to obtain a VSP State Inspectors license within 2 years of employment.
- Ability to obtain a commercial drivers license.
- Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Experience with performing light vehicle services and repairs.
- Knowledge of general welding practices.
- Knowledge of laptop and/or hand-held diagnostic programs.
