Sr Business Analyst

Location: Remote (Continental United States – CONUS)

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a cross‑functional team focused on delivering impactful technology solutions. This fully remote role requires collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the development of efficient information systems.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather and analyze system requirements including program functionality, input data acquisition, and output requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for development teams.

• Document product and service requirements and create test procedures to ensure successful implementation.

• Validate requirements for accuracy, completeness, feasibility, and compliance with standards

Process Analysis & System Design

• Analyze business and technical processes to design new or improved information systems.

• Create process models, diagrams, and workflow documentation to guide development teams.

• Identify project scope, impact, success criteria, and performance metrics.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and system architects

• Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and manage project expectations.

• Track and manage customer needs, issues, and related work items throughout the project lifecycle.

Agile Delivery Support

• Develop and manage user stories, epics, and issues in Jira
  .

• Ensure requirements meet definition of ready and definition of done standards.

• Support testing efforts by ensuring traceability and adequate test coverage
  .

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Strong experience in requirements gathering and documentation
  .

• Hands‑on experience with Jira for managing epics, issues, and user stories.

• Experience using SharePoint, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools
  .

• Experience managing or mentoring Business Analysts and Technical Writers
  .

• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and technical teams.

• Experience supporting backend integrations without GUI interfaces
  .

• Familiarity with VA systems
  , including:

  • VA Corporate Database

  • MPI

  • VA Profile Database

  • Existing VA API services

• Experience working with federal agencies or government programs
  .

• Experience working in a remote environment
  .

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and VA Veteran‑Focused Integration Process (VIP).

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
  .

Salary Range: $105,000 – $112,000 annually
Final compensation may vary based on experience, location, skills, and internal equity
