Systems Engineer

Responsible for requirement and design specifications to support rapid development and deployment of high-quality software. Must collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software requirements supporting system needs with a strong understanding of business requirement
• Review software architectures implemented with a variety of operating systems and coding languages to include RHEL, C/C++, Java, and Python
• Understand the interplay required between software and hardware to achieve system objectives and business requirements
• Communicate with and understand end user needs for implementation into software designs
• Work collaboratively within a large, Agile development team

Qualifications

Required

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
• Experience directly working with the design, testing, integration, and/or operations of systems with extensive software requirements
• Experience developing requirements specifications, design documentation, and user interface mockups to software applications and incorporating user feedback into designs
• Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels

Customer Requirements:

• Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
• Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
• Location – Hybrid with on-site (Ashburn, VA) visits 1-2 days per week and if a mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area
