Title: Network Administrator

Location: Vienna, Virginia (hybrid)

Duration: Initial 6 months contract with extensions

Compensation: $42.00-$49.00/hr.

Join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and availability of Navy Federal’s enterprise systems and networks. This position provides 24x7 technical support
, monitoring, and incident resolution to maintain optimal performance across our infrastructure.

• Monitor enterprise systems and networks using tools such as Logic Monitor, Moogsoft, and Solar Winds to ensure continuous availability.
• Respond to alerts and alarms, troubleshoot issues, and elevate incidents as needed.
• Identify trends and analyze network performance to proactively address potential issues.
• Create and manage tickets in a service management application; monitor and maintain ticket queues.
• Collaborate with internal ISD teams and external vendors to resolve outages or performance degradation.
• Contact global vendors and service providers for joint troubleshooting and service restoration.
• Maintain, configure, and perform preventative maintenance on network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Update and document technical procedures for operational consistency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of enterprise systems and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN topologies, protocols, and standards (e.g., T1, T3, Metro Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced Lansing environment. (Corrected placeholder)

• Experience with service management tools for incident tracking and resolution.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• CCNA or CCNP certifications

• Advanced troubleshooting skills and knowledge of technical interrelationships between hardware, software, and network systems.
