Description:
Think Tek seeks a Modeler – Journeyman with a strong background in business process analysis and improvement, organizational transformation, and digital modernization to support federal IT projects. The Modeler will work directly with stakeholders and software development teams to create process maps and system models, capture functional and technical requirements, and ensure solutions align with enterprise business objectives and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will facilitate bridging the gap between customers and developers while ensuring accuracy, usability, and compliance in delivered solutions.
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders and product owners in support of enterprise strategic initiatives.
- Identify and recommend future business capabilities and performance measures to drive improvement.
- Create detailed current and future state business process maps using Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN 2.0).
- Identify and document business process data element inputs and outputs and maintain data dictionaries to facilitate software development efforts.
- Create requirements traceability matrix to ensure alignment between desired business capabilities, processes, and requirements.
- Develop capability implementation plans, including cost‑benefit analysis, work‑breakdown structures, schedules, and recommended actions to enable transformation.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum).
- 4+ years of combined experience as a Business Process Analyst.
- Demonstrated experience creating and documenting process maps, functional and technical requirements, and user stories in a live or virtual workshop environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Visio (or other process mapping tools), Microsoft Project, and JIRA.
- Familiarity with Agile development frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder briefings, and triage meetings.
