Human Resources Generalist

Overview

Fairfax Neonatal Associates (FNA) seeks a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, to provide day-to-day HR support. This role focuses on administrative and operational HR tasks, including:

• Assisting with recruitment for non-provider roles (posting jobs, scheduling interviews)
• Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
• Maintaining accurate employee records and HR files
• Processing HRIS transactions (data entry, status changes) and generating basic reports
• Assisting with benefits enrollment and responding to routine benefit inquiries
• Tracking medical leaves and ensuring documentation compliance
• Providing guidance on established HR policies and procedures
• Handling basic employee relations inquiries and escalating complex matters to the HR Director
• Supporting compliance with employment laws and company standards

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of HR experience
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience a plus)
• Basic understanding of HR practices and employment regulations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not required
