Inova is seeking a Radiation Therapist of all levels to join this dynamic team. We have openings for full-time, part-time and PRN roles working 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday day shift. • Education: Associate degree required, preferred in radiation therapy
• Experience: Completion of Radiation program preferred
• Certifications:
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiation or registry eligible within one year of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) form AHA required upon start

• Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift: Monday to Friday
• Education: Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a Staff Radiation Therapy department with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation
• Certifications:
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist required upon start
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon start
• License: VA License required at PROC (Woodbridge)

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, supervisors, and outside contacts
• Responsible for treatment modalities and protocols to accurately set up and administer treatments daily
• Verify proper functioning of linear accelerators, simulators and CT machines
• Position patients for initial treatment and verify set-up per prescriptions; verify beam parameters, ancillary aids and blocking via record and verification systems on machine and patients’ computerized treatment plans before initiation of radiation beam; detect unsatisfactory set-up and/or errors and report to physicians
• Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff by utilizing technical expertise for difficult/complex treatments on various machines
• May perform additional duties as assigned
