Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering treatment plans to help residents regain independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Carry out therapeutic activities to improve residents’ strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and self-care abilities

  • Monitor and document resident progress through accurate and timely notes and reports

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care team members

  • Support in training residents and families on techniques and use of adaptive equipment

  • Follow established treatment protocols and safety guidelines under the direction of the Occupational Therapist

  • Participate in care team meetings and collaborate to ensure a holistic, resident-centered care approach

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Residents' Rights

  • Perform other duties as directed by the Occupational Therapist or Director of Rehabilitation

Requirements/

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current COTA certification and state license in good standing

  • Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality care and teamwork
