Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Inova Physician Services – Orthopedics – Fair Oaks is looking for a dedicated Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join the team. This is a full‑time day shift position (Mon – Fri). Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of radiologic principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology; select appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal examinations. Adhere to department policies and protocols, ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation. Operate radiological equipment in all settings (fluoroscopy, trauma, ED, OR). Employ radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding. Operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Administer IV contrast per ACR guidelines.
- Assist in teaching radiography students sound radiographic principles.
- Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent. Explain procedures to patients/families, answering questions. Identify patients accurately and maintain high documentation accuracy. Track patients per department procedures.
- Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard protocols, isolation precautions, and sterile techniques.
- Recognize clinical or emergent problems that may interfere with exams, taking appropriate action to resolve them and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program. - Licensure: ARRT registered within 12 months of hire.
- Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. - Experience:
One year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology; recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a radiologic technologist or student.
