Inova Weight Loss Services - Fair Oaks is looking for a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join the team. This role will include a flexible schedule between 4pm - 7pm. One or two classes required: back-to-back, the day of the week is up to you!

Exercise Physiologist

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
  • Reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
  • Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient.
  • Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Kinesiology.
  • License: American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs OR American Association of Cardiovascular and pulmonary Rehabilitation - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP) OR an equivalent advanced certification based on other hiring department
  • Experience
    :
  • Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association within 6 months
