- Assignments would be 12 weeks with the option to extend.
- Multiple locations available with similar operating procedures and training.
- Assistance with applying for licensure in the state you would be working in is available.
- Housing, living stipend, and relocation assistance are provided.
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique is essential. This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the organization’s profitability and patient experience.
Skills/Qualifications- Understands, promotes, and demonstrates the Solis Way.
- Practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
- Can read, write, and understand medical terminology; can effectively communicate procedures and educate women about the importance of regular mammography in breast health.
- Maintains a patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills, communicating effectively with doctors, patients, and staff.
- Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS is preferred.
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
- Prior quality control experience is preferred.
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography.
- ARRT advanced certification in mammography with clinical experience documentation or MQSA qualified and registry eligible.
- Current continuing education as required by MQSA and ARRT.
- Non-restricted licensure in the state of work.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
