Position Overview

The ECLS Manage ensures ECMO program readiness, including equipment, staffing, education, and quality initiatives. This is a highly independent role requiring strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. The manager serves as the primary liaison between us and the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the ECLS Pediatric Coordinator and ECMO team.

• Manage ECMO scheduling, staffing levels, and performance reviews.
• Provide ECMO education, training, and competency evaluations.
• Assess ECMO circuits, troubleshoot issues, and recommend safe solutions.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on quality initiatives and process improvements.
• Participate in ECMO case reviews and mortality & morbidity discussions.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with staff, patients, and families.
• Represent Innovative ECMO Concepts positively in all interactions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Respiratory Care, or Perfusion Technology (master’s preferred).
• Licensure:Active Virginia license (if applicable).
• Experience:2+ years of ECMO experience with in-depth knowledge of extracorporeal life support.
• Skills:Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
