Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Fairfax, Virginia. This role involves preparing accurate corporate tax returns, utilizing Drake Tax Software, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file corporate tax returns with precision and compliance.

- Utilize Drake Tax Software to efficiently manage tax preparation processes.

- Review financial documents to ensure accurate tax calculations.

- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide expert advice.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes.

- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for tax filings.

- Identify potential tax deductions and credits to optimize returns.

- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in tax-related data.

- Ensure timely submission of all tax-related documentation.

- Provide support during tax audits and address any inquiries. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation, particularly corporate tax returns.

- Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software for tax-related tasks.

- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of tax preparation.

- Effective communication skills for client interactions and teamwork.

- Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role.
