Lead Financial Advisor (Fairfax, VA)
Our client, a rapidly expanding independent RIA located in Fairfax, VA, is looking to bring on a Lead Advisor for their Fairfax office. The Lead Advisor will take ownership of a client book while partnering closely with Associate Advisors and the Operations team to deliver a high-touch, planning-driven client experience.
This is a fully onsite position offering a competitive base salary of $150K–$170K range, plus bonus eligibility and a comprehensive, high-quality benefits package.
Responsibilities:- Provide prompt, thoughtful responses to client communications and inquiries.
- Proactively identify and recommend enhancements to client service workflows and processes.
- Support and guide clients through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.
- Establish strong rapport with clients, fostering trust and confidence in the advisory team.
- Partner closely with the operations team to ensure accurate execution of cashiering, deposits, withdrawals, and other transactional requests.
- Assist clients with day-to-day service needs and transactional support.
- Collect, organize, and review client data and net worth statements to support comprehensive and forward-looking financial advice.
- Oversee financial plan development prepared by Associate Advisors, providing review and edits as needed.
- Lead client meetings end-to-end, including preparation of materials, meeting facilitation, post-meeting documentation, and follow-up deliverables.
- Develop and present thoughtful, creative solutions to complex client financial planning needs.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in portfolio management, rebalancing, trading, and the preparation and interpretation of client reports.
- Integrate tax planning and estate planning considerations into financial plans and client discussions with a high level of technical competence.
- A bachelor’s degree, and CFP® designation highly preferred.
