Summary of Position:
The Pozez Jewish Community Center seeks a dynamic, flexible teacher to join our educational
team in Fairfax for our year-round, full-day early childhood center for infants through Pre-K at
the Pozez JCC's Early Childhood Learning Center. The ECLC is inspired by the Reggio Emilia
philosophy and our staff co-teach in a professional, collaborative, Jewish environment.
Qualifications:
• All applicants must have experience working with young children
• Must be organized and have excellent writing skills
• Must have experience working with young children in an early childhood setting
Essential Position Duties:
• Implement the Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy
• Maintain a cheerful, nurturing, healthy, safe and clean environment
• Communicate regularly with families and Administrative staff
• Monitor growth and development of each child
• Protect the rights and privacy of children and families by maintaining strict
confidentiality
• Work towards increasing knowledge and abilities in the field of early childhood
education
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:45am-5:15pm (subject to change depending on assigned shift)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience.
