Location:

A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, VA.

Fort Belvoir is a United States Army base located on 8,656 acres along the Potomac River in Fairfax County, VA. It is approximately 12 miles south of Washington, DC.

• Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of individuals who collectively take responsibility for the ongoing care of patients.
• Coordinate and/or integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system.
• Complete required records pertaining to all medical services provided in accordance with specified procedures and regulations.

Basic Requirement For Physician (Family Practice)

• Degree:
  Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. Degree must be accredited by the appropriate medical education authorities. For foreign medical graduates, evidence of equivalency may be demonstrated by ECFMG certification or other recognized pathways.
• Licensure:
  Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.

Graduate Training
:
At least one year of supervised clinical experience after obtaining the degree (internship or first year of residency) in an accredited setting.

Residency Training for GP-15 Position
:
Completion of accredited residency training in Family Medicine and equivalent experience and training of at least 5 years. Experience may not substitute for required residency training.

Education and Seniority include Mid-Senior level and Full-time employment as a Health Care Provider.
