**** Job Overview
** The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment.
** Roles & Responsibilities
** To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned.
* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features
* Make minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or walls
* Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials
* Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems
* Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste
* Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment
* Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger
* Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools
* Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
* Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws
* Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.
* Stops at risk behaviors of others and self
* Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills
* Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers and advises on plant selection or care
* Provide information about landscaping services or costs
** Qualification

** Education and/ or Experience
** High school diploma / GED – preferred

Six months related experience and/or training – preferred
** Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
** Completed all safety and task training certifications.
** Supervisory Responsibilities
** This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
