Summer camp, by design, allows children to develop their creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. As camp staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on those around you.
A key aspect of a successful summer is our leadership team. Strong camp leadership serve as role models for both campers and staff. These individuals play a key role in enforcing camp policies, communicating and addressing concerns, and strengthening the camp program.
Responsibilities- Under the guidance of camp leadership
- Manage the resources, staff, and program to provide a quality, safe, fun and worthwhile camp experience.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of programs.
- Oversee and evaluate staff, programming, volunteers, and camp operations.
- Communicate professionally with parents to address questions, concerns, and/or rely information.
- Be aware of all special needs and concerns of campers, parents, and staff. Uphold and follow all regulations and standards to ensure staff and camper safety.
- Encourage and support staff in their responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned by camp director.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Combination of experience and education normally represented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Education, or related field preferred.
Education
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience
Required:
2 years of relevant work experience.
