Position
Special Education Assistant
LocationFairborn Middle School
SalaryStarting pay: $18.02 per hour
Work Schedule7:25 am – 2:55 pm, 7 hours per day
Qualifications- Ability to communicate and work with disabled students.
- Must be HQ or able to become highly qualified.
- Must hold a minimum of a high school diploma.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of teacher planned activities.
- Supervise and monitor students in all school settings based on teacher instructions and student IEPs.
- Meet the qualifications and/or criteria set by the State of Ohio Department of Education to obtain an educational aide permit (ORC ).
- Occasional interaction among unruly children.
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
- The supervisor shall authorize re-numeration, if the position does not allow for a duty-free lunch.
Applications will be reviewed and interviews may be limited. Skill performance may be tested.
