Heavy Equipment Technician-Shop (Maintenance) - About the Position:
Do you like to solve technical problems? Are you effective at troubleshooting? If so, we have a challenging opportunity as a Technician in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Hourly Range: $ per hour (Based on Skills & Experience)

• Diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar equipment including removing, repairing, assembling and installing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems with experience using CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment.
• Plan and organize work with emphasis on controlling job costs.
• Investigate, analyze and identify problems to make recommendations that eliminate the issue.
• Communicate effectively, including strong interpersonal skills and written communication for utilizing internal software and other software programs.

• A high school diploma or equivalent or completion of a 2-4 year vocational technical program or equivalent experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, and more.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
• Ability to stand up to eight hours per day; includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling. Willingness to travel for extended periods to work with customers.
• Experience at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.
