ARG Industrial is seeking a full-time Counter Sales Specialist for our Fairbanks, AK location. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with others in an energetic team environment, has the ability to take charge, and possesses a willingness to learn. The candidate must be organized, possess a strong attention to detail and strive to provide a great customer service experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide proactive, meaningful product and service recommendations and assistance to walk‑in customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Stock showroom shelves with merchandise and ensure shelves are organized and tidy.
  • Build customer loyalty through personalized service, exceeding customer expectations and fostering long‑term relationships.
  • Handle customer escalations promptly, addressing complex issues and ensuring their resolutions.
  • Communicate leads & opportunities to inside & outside sales through CRM software.
Successful Candidate Qualities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sales and customer service role is preferred
  • Ability to pass drug test screenings throughout employment
  • Reliable and dependable adherence to attendance and work schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish connections.
  • Attentive listening skills to understand customer needs and handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles, focusing on exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment including cash registers, computers and relevant software applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle customer interactions effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, and regularly lift and carry up to 40lbs
