Base pay range$16.78/hr - $24.64/hr
SUMMARYIncumbent is responsible for food shopping and transporting meals to various locations for consumers.
JOB DUTIES- Responsible for food/dry goods purchasing and managing inventory for multiple programs, cleaning, and transporting meals to consumers as needed.
- Coordinates with the time and sequence of cooking operations to deliver meals at appropriate serving times.
- Washes dishes and cleans the kitchen including all equipment.
- Assists with providing snack trays and specialty foods as directed for special events.
- Maintains kitchen facilities in compliance with state, federal and FNA regulations and policies.
- Delivers meals to the WCCIH program.
- Assists with planning menus and maintains kitchen inventory; gathers input from Cook(s) for supplies and inventory needs.
- Ensures accuracy of expenses and receipts for food purchases.
- Stocks and rotates food items on appropriate shelves with accurate labeling and disposal standards.
- Shop for supplies on a weekly basis.
- Order supplies from vendors on a weekly basis.
- Attends regularly scheduled kitchen staff meetings, and other program meetings.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with Behavioral Health policies and procedures
- Ability to report to work in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practice.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, as well as cross‑cultural communication styles
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
- Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of institutional style cooking
- For company insurance purposes must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Food Handler card, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in institutional style cooking
