Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Position with Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, AK. We are looking for dedicated registered nurses to join our Emergency Department team, working full‑time 12‑hour shifts (36 hours per week).
Nights, weekdays, weekends and travel days are available.

Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly wage $38.42–$63.35, based on experience and education.
  • Relocation assistance up to $7,500.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients physically, psychologically, socially, spiritually, educationally, developmentally, culturally, and in terms of discharge planning needs.
  • Formulate a care plan—including a discharge plan—based on assessment data, patient/family input, and the medical plan of care.
  • Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team.
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed.
  • Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legible, timely, and policy‑compliant documentation.
  • Provide care based on the best evidence, participate in research activities, and contribute to shared leadership initiatives.
  • Interact in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, family, and visitors; mentor and preceptor as required.
  • Engage in professional activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes and participate in national nursing quality indicators.
Requirements
  • Valid, current, or temporary Alaska RN license.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
    Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or additional certifications may be required.
  • Minimum of 12 months acute‑care experience within the past year as a registered nurse.
  • Strong creative thinking, prioritizing, and flexible problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • Experience in acute‑care settings within the last 12 months.
