Overview
The Facilities Services team at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑exempt staff position that will perform various service functions for any department within Facilities Services (Office or Grounds).
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of service functions for Facilities Services departments.
- Operate computers and maintain basic technical knowledge as required.
- Provide excellent oral and written communication skills and superior customer service skills.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and other physical requirements as needed.
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Unrestricted Alaska driver’s license and a clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.
This is a pooled position. Candidates will be reviewed on an as‑needed basis throughout the current fiscal year. The position is full‑time, non‑exempt, and complete with a competitive salary and a comprehensive employee benefits package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
