The Systems Specialist will manage and optimize Aleut Energy’s Odoo ERP platform to support retail operations across multiple locations. This role involves system configuration, troubleshooting, user training, and continuous improvement of Odoo functionalities to meet organizational needs.

Integrity, Teamwork, Quality, Innovation, Compassion and Sustainability. - Configure and maintain Odoo modules for Retail POS, Inventory, Purchasing, Accounting, and CRM.
- Manage user roles and permissions to align with operational responsibilities and compliance requirements.
- Ensure system security and data integrity across all retail locations.
- Customize workflows and reports to meet Aleut Energy’s retail-specific needs.
- Collaborate with developers and partners (e.g., Bista, BDO) for advanced customizations and troubleshooting.
- Integrate Odoo with other enterprise systems.
- Oversee data migration, accuracy checks, and version control.
- Support integration with payroll systems (e.g., UKG) for timekeeping and commission tracking.
- Oversee data migration, validation, and version control during system updates.
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving Odoo-related issues impacting inventory accuracy, AP/AR processes, and POS functionality.
- Provide technical support to store managers and finance teams as needed.
- Generate and deliver weekly reports to management team.
- Develop SOPs and training materials for front-end users and finance teams.
- Conduct retraining sessions to address gaps identified during system audits and reconciliation phases.
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve inventory visibility, cash flow management, and customer experience.
- Stay updated on Odoo releases and implement upgrades aligned with Aleut’s operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Odoo ERP modules including POS, Inventory, Purchasing, Accounting, and CRM.
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory workflows, and multi-location store environments.
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data exchange between enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of data validation, migration processes, and version control practices.
- Understanding of payroll/timekeeping integrations (e.g., UKG).
- Ability to configure, customize, and troubleshoot Odoo modules in a production environment.
- Skill in creating workflows, dashboards, and operational reports.
- Ability to diagnose system issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Proficiency with Excel/Sheets for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and third-party partners on customizations.
- Strong communication skills for supporting non-technical users and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop SOPs, training materials, and conduct user training sessions.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and system integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to analyze system performance and recommend operational enhancements.
- Adaptability to new technologies, Odoo releases, and evolving business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Three (3) years of progressive experience in system administration or related IT field.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple store locations.
