Student Parking Attendant – Overview
We are seeking a flexible, long‑term student to work outside the University of Alaska Fairbanks parking facilities. The role involves jump starts, door unlocks, accurate information delivery, and enforcement of parking regulations while providing high‑quality customer service.
Responsibilities• Perform jump starts and door unlocks for UAF community members and visitors.
• Enforce UAF parking regulations and deliver the highest level of customer service.
• Work flexible hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with special projects as assigned.
• Operate handheld devices, upload and download information to a database.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance and wear a uniform.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License with an excellent driving history in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
- Basic computer training.
- Enrolled as a UAF student in at least 6 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0, a newly enrolled student, or intent to enroll in 6 credit hours during the upcoming Fall 2024 semester.
- Ability to work outside in all weather, manually lift or move up to 50 lbs, and work with little supervision.
- Use of a digital camera and ability to download photos.
This part‑time temporary student position pays $17.50 per hour, up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Additional hours may be available during winter and summer breaks.
