Nanook Recreation Facility Maintenance and Rental Services - Student Assistant

Nanook Recreation is dedicated to providing the university community with opportunities and facilities that support active, healthy lifestyles—both on campus and in the stunning Alaskan outdoors. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Facility Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in keeping our facilities safe, welcoming, and fully functional for all patrons.

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, a curiosity for understanding how equipment functions, and hands-on experience with small electric engines, electronics, or vehicle maintenance. Equally important are excellent customer service skills, ensuring that every interaction with patrons is positive and supportive.

• 6+ months of mechanical maintenance or machine/fabrication shop experience, ability to read manuals, and basic knowledge of Google Suites.
• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Additional preferred skills (but not required):
  Electronics diagnostics, maintenance, and repair

This is an hourly, part-time student position. Starting rate of pay is $14.67 per hour.
