Position: Administrative Assistant I

Overview

Rate: To be confirmed (Target: ~$10 USD/hour)

Experience Level: Entry Level (0–2 years)

We are seeking a reliable Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative support to our assigned department. This entry-level role involves performing a wide range of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, correspondence, phone support, and assisting with daily office operations under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Assist management with daily tasks such as typing correspondence, entering data into computer systems, and filing records
  • Answer phones, handle customer inquiries, and provide general office support
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars as needed
Office Operations
  • Maintain office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents
  • Assist with basic data gathering, reporting, and interpretation as directed
  • Prepare clear and concise documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth office operations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and management
  • Support cross-functional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0–2 years of general office work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Technical Skills

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment (printers, scanners, phones)
  • Ability to learn and use other Microsoft Office applications as needed
  • Accurate data entry and typing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a detail-oriented environment
  • Capable of performing multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or temperature variations
  • Extended use of computer keyboard and monitor
  • Primarily sedentary work with long periods of sitting
