Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Exton, PA.

Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing the processing of multi-cycle payrolls in Canada (some US), while overseeing compliance, benefits, garnishments, state tax setup, and year-end reporting while supporting employees and HR with payroll-related matters.

• 3-5 years of recent experience overseeing payroll processing for Canada employees (must have a true understanding of payroll, benefits, union, RSP (pension))
• Some experience processing US payrolls
• Experience with year-end reconciliation
• Experience working with unions
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Advanced data analysis skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
• Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
• Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
