In North America, the Facilities or Site Pollution product is a significant part of our overall Environmental book of business. We seek a leader who can assist in developing, implementing, and managing the business strategy for this product so as to achieve our business goals.
What you'll be doingEssential responsibilities include:
- Manage the Site Pollution underwriting operations for Underwriter I and II team members, and actively interact and collaborate with other product lines.
- Work with manager to develop and implement business plans and underwriting strategies that result in profitable business and meet established goals.
- Develop, execute, and manage your team’s performance management plans. Make tough decisions and oversee performance improvement plans.
- Manage operational plans that improve the teams’ results. Define objectives, execute plans, review and adjust, evaluate outcomes, and report on success.
- Meeting Leadership:
When the manager is unable, prepare for and lead weekly Site Pollution Team meetings, monthly Environmental communications calls, and other management meetings. - Team Development:
Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with each direct report to discuss their goals, challenges, and development opportunities.
You will report to the Head of Pollution Facilities.

Seasoned environmental expert who has great ability to collaborate with highly technical experts (e.g., engineers, scientists, etc.) while simultaneously driving underwriting business and expanding our presence through engaging with clients, brokers, underwriters, managers, and other key stakeholders. - Leadership

Demonstrates managerial courage. Coaches, trains, sets expectations, evaluates and holds people accountable for delivering in a highly matrixed environment. A change agent who can influence not only direct reports, but also others across the global organization. - Insurance Acumen

Demonstrates a strong understanding and comprehension of underwriting guidelines, concepts, and processes. Ability to leverage technical knowledge to drive underwriting performance. - Passion for Results

Pay RangeThe U.S. pay range for this position is USD 148,000 – 222,000. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location.
