Summer Instructional Assistants - 21st Century - West Chester School District

At the present time, vacancies exist for Instructional Assistants within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Currently, there are multiple openings working with pre‑k, elementary, middle, and/or high school‑aged students, and supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students. These positions are temporary for the duration of the summer only.

• High school diploma required
• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
• Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
• Computer and current technology knowledge required
• Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs
• Assist with regular communication with participating students’ parents, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators, as necessary
• Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed
• Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program

June 22nd - July 16th
Mon - Thurs, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Student Hours - 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM)
No program on Fridays
Training Dates:
Week of June 15th (Dates TBD)

• 0‑9 yrs experience = $18.72
• 10‑13 yrs experience = $20.57
• 14‑17 yrs experience = $22.41
• 18‑25 yrs experience = $24.26
• * Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale = $18.72
• * Master’s degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $21.97
