Responsibilities:

• Record transactions and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Assist in financial close processes (cash and accrual basis).
• Allocate expenses across classes/restricted funds
• Assist in providing audit support, cash flow and budgeting to clients
• Assist in historical bookkeeping and critical variance analysis.
• Independent oversight of workload and tasks for individual clients, communicating up to management about scope creep and opportunities to provide additional support.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience supporting a portfolio of full-cycle accrual-based accounting clients.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Private space to work remotely, allowing for uninterrupted deep dives into the work.
• Proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Collaborative spirit, respecting and valuing input from all team members, regardless of age or experience.
• Solution-oriented, resourceful, and continuously seeking innovative solutions.
• Proactive, organized, and capable of independent and team-based work.
• Exceptional internal communication skills, with a focus on over communication to ensure smooth project progression and efficiency, as emphasized by our leadership team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with reviewing client work
• Non-profit accounting experience
• Entrepreneurial spirit and experience in start-ups or small teams.

Compensation Package:

• Salary: $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience
