Join a charity transforming Deaf education and care. We’re looking for an organised, people‑focused HR & Recruitment Administrator to support our Academy’s HR team. This role plays a key part in delivering safer recruitment, onboarding, HR administration and excellent support to staff and candidates.
What you’ll do- Advertise vacancies and support recruitment campaigns
- Coordinate shortlisting, interviews and candidate communication
- Process DBS checks and update the Single Central Record
- Prepare offer letters, contracts and onboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate HR and training records
- Support CPD bookings and interpreter arrangements
- Produce daily absence report emails and monitoring of absence processes
- Provide general HR admin and minute‑taking at formal meetings
- Strong admin experience and confident IT skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- A collaborative, positive team player
- Committed to completing BSL Level 1 and Level 3 HR Support
- Experience in HR or customer service (desirable)

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent essential
Grade C / 4 or above
Skills ExperienceExperience in an administrative role essential
Experience of following task processes through to completion essential
Experience of using a management information system essential
Ability to handle data and information accurately and securely essential
Customer service approach and attitude to problem resolution essential
Proficient user of IT packages, including Word and Excel essential
Able to plan and organise workload well, seeking guidance when needed essential
Experience in delivering high quality customer service or support, through paid or voluntary role
Experience of working in HR or Training Administration role
Organisational FitA commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and to following the Academy safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures essential
