HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver

The nation’s leading vehicle logistics company is recruiting HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers in the Exeter area. Applicants with car transporter experience are preferred
, however HGV Class 1 drivers with an exemplary driving record will be considered and successful candidate will receive for full training
.

We are welcoming applications from drivers from Exeter and the wider area to apply.

Experienced car transporter drivers are preferred for these roles, however HGV Class 1 drivers without transporter experience but with an excellent Class 1 driving record are welcome to apply and will be considered for the Car Transporter training programme.

• No car transporter experience:
  Up to 4 weeks of fully paid, specialist training at one of the UK’s leading car transporter training academies.
• Experienced car transporter drivers:
  Up to 2 weeks of refresher training at the same top-tier training facility.

• Load and unload cars and vans safely and professionally
• Carry out pre-load vehicle inspection and checks
• Deliver to dealerships, auctions, events and businesses nationwide
• Represent the company to the highest professional standard

• HGV Class 1 (CE) licence
• Car transporter experience or HGV Class 1 experience with an excellent driving record
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• Maximum of 6 minor points for minor offences
• Professional, customer-focused attitude

• £50,000 – £60,000 with achievable bonuses
• 25 days annual leave
• Daily meal allowance + tax-free night-out pay (if on a tramping shift)
• Stand-down pay (paid working time when driving hours are reached)
• Paid CPC training
