Mobile Mechanic

About the role

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one — with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

Competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings of up to £50,000. A guaranteed overtime option can increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.

40 hours per week, with core hours from 08:00 to 16:30, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

You’ll enjoy 23 days of holiday (rising to 25 with service), plus bank holidays. There is paid family leave and flexible scheduling.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
