Position: Solar PV Roofer

Location: South West - accepting applications from Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset

Salary: 40,000

A fast-growing contractor within the solar and renewables sector is seeking to appoint a Solar PV Roofer as part of their rapidly expanding installation team. This opportunity comes with a company that has the backing of a 700m turnover group and has achieved over 140% growth in the past 12 months, with clear plans to grow further.

• Travelling to new-build housing sites across the south-west to lead the installation of Solar PV equipment on a large scale, specifically in-roof solar equipment
• Overseeing a small team of roofers including experienced roofers and labourers/mates
• Ensuring the quality of all installations, ranging from 10 to 20 installs a day
• Working alongside the Contracts Manager to update installation progress, quality, and time frames

• Strong background required within installing Solar PV equipment, specifically in-roof solar panels from manufacturers such as GSE and Viridian.
• Previous experience leading small to medium teams of roofers, either with solar or non-solar projects
• Full UK driving licence
• Any electrical experience desirable but not essential
• The ability to bring a team of roofers with you would be highly advantageous
• Based within the South West and happy to travel across the region to sites (Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset)

• Basic Salary: 40,000 per annum
