We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Hensall Food’s team as Food Line Tech/CCP Operator for our Ready Meals Plant. The Food Line Tech / CCP Operator is responsible for maintaining and monitoring quality control tasks as per the Hensall Foods QA program. The FL Tech / CCP Op. is a member of the quality team and provides support to other roles within the department as required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist with all required internal and external quality related tasks
- Assist with production related tasks to support operations
- Maintain and ensure all quality and production-related paperwork is completed and filed properly (production, cooking, cooling, sanitation and packaging records)
- Provide general quality training to new or temporary employees (GMP and allergens training)
- Act as CCP Operator and monitor cooking and cooling CCP’s
- Oversight and assistance with operation of cooking line
- Coordinate with Production Supervisor in monitoring packaging CCP’s and ensuring finished products meet customer and regulatory requirements
- Assist plant management in investigating food safety and quality incidents
- Assist with monthly premises inspections for ready meal plant
- Inspect incoming ingredients to ensure COA and receiving requirements are met Perform onsite audits of processing and packaging areas to evaluate Food Manufacturing Practices as part of premises inspections
- Understand and follow all HFI Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
- Continuously work towards process improvements within the Quality department
- Other duties will be assigned as necessary by Ready Meals management and/or QA Manager
- Must be able and willing to obtain HACCP and SQF Quality system certifications
- Highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented and analytical thinker
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills including proficiency in MS Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of quality systems is an asset
- Team-oriented and ability to collaborate with all departments
- Post‑secondary education
- Food Sciences and/or quality control experience is an asset
- Previous experience with processing and food manufacturing is an asset
