Parts Supervisor - Commercial Vehicles

Salary: £36,832 per annum

Hours:

40 hours per week, including Saturday mornings on a rota basis (1 in 3 or 1 in
4)

Permanent

Basic Salary: £36,832 per year.

We're looking for an experienced Parts Supervisor to lead a team within a commercial vehicle operation. You'll oversee a department consisting of two Parts Advisors, two Parts Delivery Drivers, and an Apprentice. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you'll be responsible for motivating staff, maximising profitability, and ensuring excellent customer service. You'll also drive online sales via eBay and maintain high stock standards.

• Supervise, control, and motivate the parts department team to achieve growth and retention.
• Ensure all customers are served in a professional and efficient manner to build loyalty.
• Maximise profitability in line with parts budget and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Expand online sales via eBay to maximise profit and customer service.
• Maintain stock levels to a high standard through perpetual stock checking (3 full checks per year).
• Ensure security of all company property and maintain a tidy, organised workspace.
• Train and develop staff, completing appraisals and identifying training needs.
• Manage and coordinate parts delivery drivers effectively.
• Ensure cash invoices are cleared daily and Service 24hr vans are stock checked.
• Promote manufacturer parts and stimulate business through workshop outlets.
• Ensure phones are answered within 3 rings with the correct company greeting.

• Previous experience supervising a parts department, preferably within commercial vehicles.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with staff, customers, and suppliers.
• A proactive approach to driving sales and achieving targets.
• Knowledge of stock control, eBay sales, and parts department operations.
