About the Role

We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader who brings passion, energy, and purpose to work every single day. You’ll lead by motivating, supporting, and guiding your team to consistently deliver high standards of service.

As Team Leader, you will oversee the delivery of recovery‑focused service in Exeter.

You will support teams providing a range of interventions, including one‑to‑one sessions, structured group work, and the prescribing of medications to support recovery.

The service also delivers vital harm‑reduction and clinical support, including needle exchange provision, testing for blood‑borne viruses, relevant vaccinations, naloxone supply, and essential health checks. While appointments with recovery workers are central to our offer, our hubs also provide welcoming drop‑in spaces where people can access advice, informal support, café facilities and group activities outside of their scheduled one‑to‑one programme.

Your leadership will ensure these services are safe, effective and person‑centred, enabling individuals to engage in their recovery in a supportive and accessible environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team to consistently deliver high standards of service
  • Monitor team performance, using data and reporting to identify trends and drive improvement
  • Ensure excellent customer service by overseeing the timely and effective handling of enquiries
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex issues, resolving problems efficiently and professionally
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support training, coaching, and development to build team capability and engagement
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced environment
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
  • Proven experience in a team leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong customer service background with a focus on quality and outcomes
  • Confident working with data and producing clear, accurate reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive problem‑solver who thrives on challenge
