Cleaning Area Supervisor – Exeter County Hall

Location: Exeter, Devon – EX2 4QD

Hours: Part Time – 30 hours per week

Pay: £15.54 per hour (£32,323.20 pro rata)

About the role: We are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Supervisor to operate at Exeter County Hall as part of our commercial cleaning team. In this role you will support the management of local cleaning contracts, provide on‑site support with operational performance reviews, engage with client partners to develop relationships, ensure service level understanding and propose solutions when delivery falls short.

You will be supported by the Area Manager and play an active role in recruitment and development of staff across multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support local cleaning contracts.
• Review operational performance against expected hygiene levels.
• Engage with client partners to develop relationships.
• Ensure understanding of required service levels and provide solutions when standards are not met.
• Recruit and develop staff across a number of sites.

Qualifications:

• Experience with in a commercial cleaning environment, from hands‑on to supervisory perspective.
• Proven ability to manage, lead and/or supervise staff across multiple sites.
• Excellent communication skills, confident engaging with colleagues and clients.
• Good eye for detail, capable of upholding and improving contractual standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety in a cleaning environment.
