Role: Senior User Interface (UI) Designer

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE

Location: Hybrid – 4 days per week on‑site (Exeter area)

Type: Permanent

We’re partnered with a well‑established, growing SaaS business to hire a Senior UI Designer who will play a key role in shaping the visual and interaction design of a complex, multi‑user platform.

This is a senior, hands‑on role within a newly forming product team, focused on building intuitive, scalable interfaces used daily by operational and field‑based teams. You’ll have genuine influence over design standards, systems, and the long‑term UI direction of the product.

• Leading UI design across web and mobile SaaS products
• Translating user needs, product requirements, and technical constraints into elegant interfaces
• Owning and evolving the design system (components, patterns, visual standards)
• Producing wireframes, high‑fidelity designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, and Support
• Ensuring accessibility (WCAG), consistency, and usability across the platform
• Championing best practice in visual hierarchy, typography, and interaction design

• 6+ years’ experience in UI or product design, ideally within SaaS
• A strong portfolio showing polished UI, design systems, and shipped products
• Advanced experience with tools such as Figma (or equivalent)
• Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and interaction patterns
• Experience working closely with engineers and understanding front‑end constraints
• Excellent attention to detail and strong design rationale

• Experience with complex or data‑heavy workflows
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript concepts
• Exposure to agile or product‑led environments
• UX or user research collaboration experience
