This apprenticeship is working toward a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification. The Digital Services Department is offering an 18 month Information Communication Technician - Support Technician Apprenticeship. The Digital Services Service Desk is a small team providing first line support for IMT services to Healthcare organisations across Devon. The successful applicants will work at all times under the supervision of a qualified/experienced member of staff and provide first line support to clients on all matters relating to IT provision.

More detail about the role
You will spend times with all of our key Digital Services Teams throughout the apprenticeship.
Examples of the daily responsibilities include:
- Eliciting information from clients in a succinct manner.
- Recording any work requests accurately in our bespoke Service Desk application.
- Fixing certain issue reported by clients during their initial contact.
- Creating and managing Active Directory objects.
- Liaising with both internal and third party support teams.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is punctual and reliable.
- Is a good team player.
- Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Has a strong desire to follow an IT career pathway.
The successful applicant will undertake an 18 month Information Communication Technician - Support Technician Apprenticeship. You will work towards the following modules:
- Networking and Architecture
- Mobile and Operating Systems
- Coding and Logic
- Business Processes
- Functional skills in IT, English and maths (if required)
The salary equates to 70% of a Band 3 for the first 12 months and, subsequently, 75% for the final 6 months.
Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will provide you with the required skill set to apply for future internal and external vacancies.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
