We’re seeking a qualified registered nurse to lead and support our care team at the care home.
You’ll receive comprehensive training to help you adjust to nursing in a care home setting and ongoing development to help you progress your career.
Responsibilities- Lead and support the care team at the care home.
- Provide high quality nursing care to residents.
- Responsible for clinical assessment of residents, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated, involving residents and carers.
- Promote the rights, interests, needs and choices of carers and people with dementia in planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
- Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies, supporting residents.
- Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents, carers and the multi-professional team, including situations where understanding may be difficult.
- Maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback to carers and persons with dementia as appropriate, and referring agencies and professional colleagues.
- Utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
- Integrate current knowledge of dementia and caring into practice, informed by research and other evidence.
- Valid RGN/NMC registration.
- Previous experience within a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Registered Nurse.
- A clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation.
- Strong leadership, clinical skill, organisation, and the ability to lead by example.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.
- Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
- Flexible approach to the rota to meet the needs of the home.
