This exciting opportunity will place the successful candidate as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary health and therapy team.

No two days are the same in this varied, challenging but hugely rewarding role. This unique environment will offer the successful candidate the chance to work with and impact the lives of a broad range of children and young people all of which have sensory impairments and complex needs.

You will contribute to care planning, risk assessment and goal setting, represent the therapy team in multidisciplinary meetings, support hydrotherapy and rebound sessions, oversee specialist equipment safety, and provide training and guidance to staff to ensure physiotherapy is fully embedded within a holistic framework of care.

Main duties of the job

You will hold a recognised national Physiotherapy qualification and be registered with the HCPC, with evidence of recent relevant CPD and a commitment to keeping up to date with professional practice and emerging research. With over two years post-qualification experience, you will bring strong clinical reasoning skills and experience of multi-professional working, including liaison with external professionals and the ability to confidently lead meetings.

You will demonstrate high professional standards, accountability in your role, and a commitment to person-centred practice.

Main purpose of the job

To provide Physiotherapy to students and young people as a part of a holistic approach to person centred support to maximise independence and physical wellbeing.

Duties and responsibilities

Work collaboratively with health and therapy services in facilitating high professional standards of Physiotherapy at the InFocus Charity.

Take Responsibility for Physiotherapy provision for students and young people throughout our college, through the extended curriculum, and adult service.

Maintain and develop standards of Physiotherapy service at InFocus.

Represent the therapy team in multi-disciplinary meetings.

Lead and attend meetings as required both on and off site.

Complete assessment for prospective students and young people prior to commencement at InFocus Charity or as part of the transition process. Review these assessments regularly and as circumstances change.

Take responsibility for the delivery, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of a high standard of Physiotherapy which promotes the independence, physical wellbeing, health and care of students and young people. Take on additional duties which could be off campus as a part of new initiatives of InFocus Charity.

Ensure all students and young people have high quality programmes of Physiotherapy which are shared with circle of support within a holistic framework.
