We are seeking a part time receptionist with excellent communication,customer service and IT skills to join our team at The Cedars. The reception supports our 2 acute mental health wards (Coombehaven and Delderfield) and is the first point of contact for all visitors, staff and service users.

Both wards are mixed 16 bedded adult acute inpatients wards providing recovery focused and compassionate care.

This is a hugely rewarding administration role which will give you an excellent insight into adult mental health conditions and the range of therapies and interventions that we offer.

The position is 15 hours per week (Thursday and Friday)

Main duties of the job
  • Greeting and liaising with visitors, services users, clinicians and external agencies
  • Email and telephone correspondence
  • Scanning and uploading of patient records
  • Ordering of supplies
  • Logging of estates issues
  • Issuing of keys
  • Post/ Deliveries
  • Supporting Ward Managers/ admin with adhoc tasks

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Customer Service/Receptionist qualification to Level 3 or equivalent experience in practice
Knowledge
  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments.
  • Experience or understanding of creating electronic records, electronic filing systems.
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, on the telephone and electronically.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to deal confidentially and tactfully with people at all levels. Experience in dealing with people in distress in a calm and confident manner.
  • Able to plan, organise, prioritise, coordinate and work flexibly.
  • Effective organisational skills.
Experience
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
  • Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting.
