HCPC Paramedic – Bank or Contract Opportunity

The role will require you to transport high dependency patients to and from treatment centres in a comfortable, caring, compassionate, empathetic, reassuring, and timely manner to defined standards. This includes transferring patients to hospitals outside of the South West and will work out of either our Exeter or Plymouth base (TBC). Work is available up to 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, and we are open to receiving offers with the number of days per week you can commit to for us to consider.

• Maintain high standards of patient care demonstrated by maintaining patient dignity, respect and privacy, communicating effectively, delivering a service in an empathetic manner
• Support the delivery of a responsive service to meet individual needs of patients and continual improvement of service delivery, providing the necessary level of flexibility, working beyond shift finish times to complete duties
• Effectively service by working effectively as a team to ensure patient‑centred care and service
• Support the management team to ensure well‑led service by reporting concerns, communicating with line managers
• Provide safe services by the safe use of equipment and vehicles, safe comfortable driving and maintenance of infection control standards
• Use and care of equipment
• Reliable and on‑time
• Timeliness of reporting completion or amendments to planned journeys

• Fully qualified registered HCPC paramedic
• Careful and considerate drivers
• Good people skills with a polite and friendly manner
• A good knowledge of the local area
• A full driving licence (no more than 3 points)
• An enhanced disclosure check is required (DBS); cost will be covered by the business
• Able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering a 5‑year period before commencing work
