We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (ECP) to join our team, seeing a variety of minor injury and illnesses presentations. Role includes, but not limited to:

  • Working as an Autonomous Practitioner using specialist skills and knowledge to independently provide healthcare to patients presenting with primary and urgent conditions.
  • Provide consistent high standard, evidence based clinical intervention and decision making informed by local protocols and national guidelines.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse (adult or paediatric) or Paramedic to join our team within the Walk‑in centre as an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (ECP), delivering high quality care for a variety of minor injuries and illnesses presentations.

The ECP will provide specialist healthcare autonomously and independently to adult and paediatric patients presenting with primary and urgent healthcare conditions.

The ECP will be accountable for the total episode of care of the patient including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and/or referral and discharge. The ECP will undertake the role in accordance with Trust and department guidelines.

The ECP will be responsible for ensuring a good working environment in which all patients and carers receive a high standard of care. It will mean that you lead by example and empower staff in their personal and professional development to undertake a greater range of clinical skills to modernise and improve patient care, including updates of essential training.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Senior Nurse, Lead Clinician and Clinical Services Manager in playing a proactive role in quality and service improvement.

The post holder will either have, be working towards, or willing to undertake modules in Advanced Clinical assessment to be successful for this role.

Please note this role is open to band 6 candidates as a developmental opportunity.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours a week, 11.5 hour shifts (8 am‑8:30 pm).
