Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our waking nights team to support our young people across the residential accommodation on InFocus campus. We support a large number of young people aged between 17 and 35, with complex sensory, physical and emotional needs, making our setting truly unique and rewarding. You’ll form part of the waking night support team to provide exceptional care, health and therapy to our young people throughout the night when required.

You will be supported every step of the way by providing an excellent, well designed induction programme along with mandatory training which will help you get off to the best possible start, ensuring that you fully understand your role within the organisation. We offer many opportunities for personal development, in fact, if you haven’t already obtained a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent, we will fund and support you in the enrolment and training of this qualification which is a requirement of the role.

About

you

We are looking for kind, friendly, and compassionate individuals who are eager to use their transferable skills and experience to make a positive difference in the lives of our young people. You will bring valuable skills from previous roles where you have supported others, whether in care, education, or personally. With a strong “can-do” attitude, you will be committed to helping young people achieve their potential through learning and personal growth.

Your transferable skills, such as communication, problem-solving, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual needs, will be key in providing the tailored support our young people need. Whether you’ve worked in customer service, healthcare, teaching, or any other role where you’ve worked directly with individuals, you’ll know how to build trust, promote independence, and help others reach their goals. Your experience in these areas will enable you to approach challenges with a positive mindset and ensure that each young person receives the support they need to thrive.

Effective communication skills are essential in this role, as they directly affect the quality of care and support we provide. A good standard of spoken and written English is important to ensure clear, accurate communication — especially when working with our young people with vision impairment and complex needs, where clear, sensitive, and consistent communication is vital.
