The Cancer Multidisciplinary Coordinator (MDTc) plays a vital role to deliver a high quality, comprehensive Cancer MDT Co‑ordination Service across all tumour sites. The post holder will support the smooth operation of cancer services by coordinating and managing the administrative processes of multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, ensuring accurate patient data is recorded, tracking cancer pathways to meet national targets, and facilitating communication between clinicians, administrative teams, and patients.

Job responsibilitiesAs a Cancer Multidisciplinary Coordinator (MDTc), you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality cancer care by ensuring the efficient coordination of multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and tracking patient pathways. You will act as a key liaison between clinical teams, administrative staff, and external stakeholders, facilitating timely decision‑making and treatment planning for cancer patients.
Responsibilities include managing patient data, ensuring compliance with National Cancer Targets, and maintaining clear communication between departments. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment are essential for this role. By ensuring adherence to established processes and supporting clinical teams, you contribute directly to improving patient outcomes and the smooth operation of cancer services.

The post holder will fulfil all administration tasks and work as part of a team and has responsibility for a MDT tumour sites. To meet the needs of the service, the post holder may be required to work in other administrative areas as appropriate as directed by the line manager.
Working Pattern: 27 hours; hours negotiable; requirement to work until 6pm on a Monday; once trained there will be flexibility with alternating every other week for 6pm finishes.
