Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter and provides exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 67 residents.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate closely with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to design and implement personalized care plans.
  • Observe daily interactions and conditions, ensuring all care documentation is precise, legal, and easily understood by the team.
  • Start each shift by organising and guiding your team, ensuring everyone knows their role in delivering top‑notch care.
  • Oversee shift handovers, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs, always with an eye on detail and safety.
  • Safely manage and administer medications, adhering strictly to MAR sheets and protocols.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
  • Support residents in daily activities, encouraging autonomy while providing hands‑on assistance as needed.
  • Be responsive to team input, ensuring resident health and well‑being are always prioritised.
  • Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Facilitate social interactions and activities, enriching the lives of residents and creating a vibrant community.
  • Maintain a vigilant eye on health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all.
  • Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
  • Prepare to act swiftly in emergencies, utilising the on‑call system and reflective practices to continually improve our care.
About You
  • Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
  • While care home experience is a plus, what really matters is your passion for care and your dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
  • Natural ability to connect with people – residents, families, and colleagues alike – bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanour to every interaction.
  • Communication is your superpower, whether you’re talking with a resident about their needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team, you do it with clarity, empathy, and respect.
